PRACTICE – Video Process + Final form + Intervention

Video Process
Students will create a group video to present their process and final work. This video visualizes the working methods, themes, group reflections and overall experience of the project.
More information about this assignment will be shared with students in class.

Final Form
Students will collaborate in groups to research different archive methods and styles. Their research, thoughts and work process will be archived on a Hotglue. Students can build upon forth from the content provided in class but are encouraged to find their own approaches. The working groups will come together to discuss their theme and work towards their vision of an archive to create a final form. The format of this final form is up to the students, but relevance to artistic practice is important.

Intervention
Students will combine their practice project theme with theory to expand their ideas of text and language into new formats of presentation. The intervention can exist of any form the students prefer to use, such as sound, performance, recital or any other form of expression. They will work from an individual perspective.

Deliverables
For the practice assignment, students will have 3 deliverables following this order:

1.- Video Process: Upload 24 hours before Presentation Day file naming: LastName_Name_P2VIDEO
2.- Final Form: Research on Hotglue shared 24 hours before presentation day + Presentation Day
3.- Intervention: Presentation Day

All documents will be uploaded to Teams and Hotglue.

Deadline
CYCLE 1
- Video process + Final Form (Research on Hotglue & Teams): Thursday April 28th 2022 - 10.00 am
- Intervention (on presentation day): Friday April 29th 2022
THEORY - intervention + text of the intervention + writing prompts

In this P2 cycle, theory is fully integrated in the practice.

1st Part – Prompts
Student will develop a sequence of 4 prompts related to the core readings. These prompts will be generated throughout the entire cycle and delivered by the end of the course.
Prompts will be done in class sessions allowing students to create source texts for their final intervention as a built-up writing practice.
More information about each prompt will be share with students in class.

2nd Part – Intervention Text
Students will archive and deliver a text form departing their personal interest in relation to the generated prompts and practice project.
This text will have a minimum extension of 500 words.

3rd Part – Intervention
Students will expand their ideas of text and language into new formats of presentation, such as sound, performance, recital, or any other form of their preference. We challenge the students to envision new forms beyond normative notions of “text/theory”.
The theme for this intervention will relate to their practice project from an individual perspective.

Deliverables
For theory, students will have 3 deliverables following this order:
1.- Prompts: Word doc following this file naming: LastName_Name_Prompts.doc
2.- Intervention Text: Word doc following this file naming: LastName_Name_InterventionText.doc
3.- Intervention: Presentation Day

All documents will be uploaded to Teams and Hotglue.
